Hessian State Award for Universal Design 2016

There has been no long wait for an additional award for the Autobahn Church Siegerland. The inter-denominational church designed by schneider+schumacher has yet won the Hessian State Award 2016 for Universal Design. The Hessian ministries of finance and social affairs advertised the award according to the motto “smart and mobile” in the context of the Hessian plan for the realization of the UN Disabled Rights Convention. Special attention was paid to accessibility and to take a society irrespective of age and origin into account. The concept of inclusion is therefore the guiding idea. The official award ceremony takes place on the first of November at the International School of Management in Frankfurt.
